Role
Here at The Financial Advice Service Ltd (TFAS for short), we provide independent financial advice with an emphasis on convenience and simplicity.
Our telephone-based service allows us to provide a tailored and professional, but distinctly convenient alternative to conventional face to face advice. This allows us to focus our energy and resources on ensuring we are providing our clients with world class advice.
While typical customers will often have less complex financial planning needs, these roles require fully qualified advisers with competent adviser status who have experience of offering regulated financial advice. The role will suit both junior advisers or advisers looking for a less face to face role and applications will be welcomed from those with either IFA, restricted or bancassurance experience.
These office based, telephone financial adviser roles offer a fantastic opportunity to get in at an early stage in the development of this new, exciting business, targeting middle market clients. The roles are fully employed, with all client leads provided. They offer an excellent basic salary (depending on experience) plus bonus scheme. You will offer advice to existing customers over the phone to establish continued suitability and to identify opportunities for new business. We are looking for proactive, motivated self -starters, with the ability to make an impact, build strong relationships and deliver advice over the phone, rather than face to face.
You will ideally be located within sensible commuting distance of Leeds City Centre.

Financial adviser - “Graduate” Training Scheme
Who are The Financial Advice Service (TFAS)?
Here at The Financial Advice Service Ltd, we provide independent financial advice with an emphasis on convenience and simplicity.
Our telephone-based service allows us to provide a tailored and professional, but distinctly convenient alternative to conventional face to face advice. This allows us to focus our energy and resources on ensuring we are providing our clients with world class advice.
Who is this Training Scheme aimed at?
The Scheme is aimed at bringing existing candidates that are already partly qualified or those with previous bancassurance experience as well as new candidates looking for a career in the Financial Services industry and take them through the Level 4 Diploma/CF30 qualification programme to achieve competent adviser status.
We are looking for proactive, motivated self-starters, with the ability to build strong relationships and deliver advice over the phone rather than face to face.
Who will be running the Training Programme?
TFAS will be contracting the services of an industry expert, to deliver a professional training programme. Our objective is to offer candidates first class support to enable them to move through the programme at their own pace.
What is the length of the programme?
The programme will be tailored to each candidate and therefore the timeframe will be dependent on where each person will be starting in the process.
Is there a cost?
The costs will be borne by the company but each candidate will agree to and sign a Training Programme Contract (TPC). The basic terms of the TPC will be to indemnify the company on a sliding scale over a 30 month period. E.g. if a participant leaves the company voluntarily within three months of qualifying then the training costs will be fully reimbursable by the employee to the company but will be reduced to nil if the employee stays past the period of their 30 month Training Programme.
Is there a career path?
Yes, all participants will initially be employed in a Customer Service role and then move to an FCA Authorised adviser role once qualified.
What will the remuneration be?
This will be agreed on acceptance to the scheme and will be dependent on previous experience. The starting salary expectation of those individuals new to the industry will be circa £18.5k p.a. and moving on a sliding scale to a ceiling of £40k p.a. once full FCA Authorised Adviser status is achieved. In addition the company offers 20 days holiday, rising to 25 days on completion of training, plus Bank Holidays and full study support.
